Extended collaboration with Camox in South Africa

Probi to add approx. 5 million SEK in net sales through extended collaboration with Camox Pharmaceuticals

Probi has signed an additional agreement with Camox Pharmaceuticals, one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical companies in South Africa. The new agreement follows the one signed in March 2010 regarding Probi´s immune product. It gives Camox Pharmaceuticals rights to launch two new line extensions in South Africa based on Probi’s flagship strain Lp299v™. The new agreement is expected to add approx. 5 million SEK to Probi´s net sales during the first 12 months after launch and it will contribute to profits already in 2011. This is in addition to revenues and profit expected from the first agreement with Camox.

Probi’s common cold study published

Probi’s Swedish common cold study published in European Journal of Nutrition

Significantly reduced risk of catching colds and fewer days with cold symptoms. Those are the main results from Probi’s extensive Swedish common cold study, which has now been published in the European Journal of Nutrition (DOI 10.1007/s00394-010-0127-6). The unique probiotic strains examined in the study are now available to Swedish consumers both as a range of juices, Friscus by Bravo, and as a dietary supplement, ProbiFrisk.

Leading position on the Swedish probiotic market after six months cooperation between Probi and Bringwell

Six months after the launch of the cooperation between Probi and Bringwell, ProbiMage and ProbiFrisk have become leading probiotic dietary supplements in Swedish health food stores and pharmacies. The launch is expected to generate revenues of approximately 7 million SEK for Probi already in 2010.

Annika Espander, Member of the Board of Directors in Probi since 2009, will join Svenska Handelsbanken  as Head of Private Banking from October 1st. In relation to this, Annika Espander resigns from all her external board assignments and she leaves the Probi board as per September 30th.

Probi receives 10 million SEK down payment from Skånemejerier as the agreements with Danone close

Probi receives a down payment of 10 million SEK from Skånemejerier as the agreements with Danone closed late yesterday. The payment will be made during the fourth quarter and the entire amount will have a positive effect on Probi’s 2010 accounts. In addition to this, Probi has the opportunity to receive a larger down payment from Skånemejerier subject to approval of a health claim for Probi’s probiotic strain Lp299v™ in Europe.
