Not all probiotics are the same. In fact, probiotics in general have difficulty surviving in many types of foodstuffs and manufacturing processes. Probi’s probiotics, however, are exceptionally robust and can survive for an extended period of time in harsh environments such as in fruit drinks. This means that even people who are lactose-intolerant are able to consume sufficient amounts of probiotics.
In addition to consumer products made by market leading partners in the Functional Food segment, our probiotics are available as Consumer Healthcare products. Here they are sold as capsules, sachets and tablets, as well as in powder form.
QUALITY CONTROL, GMO-FREE PRODUCTION AND CLINICAL STUDIES
Our probiotics are manufactured by highly reputable manufacturers of bacterial cultures. Smaller volumes of new strains can be manufactured in our own production line. All production is regularly monitored by our quality assurance manager.
All Probi strains are GMO-free and produced in facilities where no GMO ingredients are used. Depending on the strain, kosher, halal, hypoallergenic or organic certification can be provided.
Our clinical studies are carried out in compliance with the highest scientific standards. This entails double-blind, placebo-controlled randomised trials. Some analyses are conducted at our accredited laboratory (SWEDAC SS-EN ISO/IEC 17025), while others are carried out by external accredited laboratories.
Probi's probiotics are currently supplied in four different forms:
- Freeze-dried culture, suitable for dry applications and drinks.
- Frozen pellets, suitable for chilled drinks and dairy products.
- Frozen cultures for aseptic filling, suitable for milk and juices.
- Dietary supplements, available in capsules and sachets,
as well as flavoured tablets intended to be chewed or sucked.
